Criminal Minds Is Ending After 20 Seasons as Paramount+ Confirms Evolution's Final Run
The FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit is preparing to close its cases for the final time. On October 30, 2026, Paramount+ confirmed that Criminal Minds: Evolution will end with the franchise's twentieth season, scheduled for release in 2027. The announcement brings a definitive end to the current series after fifteen seasons on CBS and five more on streaming. Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, A.J. Cook and the rest of the principal ensemble will return, but no premiere date has been announced. There is also a major unanswered question: reports indicate that production on the season had already finished before its final status was revealed.
